as you all know, orang utan lives are at stake. we are from l.o.&.v.e would like to save their lives. let us share with you a little info about these amazing creature.orang utans are the only great apes to survive outside africa, and they are now found ONLY in the lowland swampy forests of borneo and sumatra. the name 'orang utan' is derived from malayan words meaning "wild man".
one of the major threats to their survival has been the increasing demand by zoos for baby orang utans, because the only way to obtain these is to shoot their mothers and then "rescue" the young ones and bottle-rear them.
